INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY AT FAVOA

Farmers’ Voice Africa (FAVOA), an organization that centers on: Advocacy, Capacity building and Marketing, through its duly registered for profit subsidiary FAVOA Innovations and Investments Group (FIIG) under the department of Electricals and renewable Energy is hiring Electrical engineers (2 posts) on internship  for a period of 12 months with a possibility of an extension or employment contract upon satisfactory performance.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Designing, installing, improving renewable systems for domestic, commercial and industrial purposes.
  • Manufacturing and assembling of renewable energy power plants and systems.
  • Performing a wide range of power plants tasks, testing and inspection of electrical energy systems.
  • Ensuring that installation and operation of power plants conform to standards and customer standards by formulating electrical systems specifications.
  • Establishing accurate specifications through detailed calculations and mapping.
  • Producing reports on the operations of the already installed power plants.
  • Any other assigned task by the immediate supervisor.

Skills, Qualifications and Requirements

A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: Electrical and Electronics engineering, Renewable energy, or any other related discipline.

Other qualities

  • Familiarity with electrical and renewable energy systems
  • Ability to cope up with work pressure
  • Creativity and problem-solving capacity
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office and internet usage
  • Fluent in English and any local language
