ABOUT FIIG

FAVOA Innovations and Investments Group (FIIG), through this innovation is geared to take part in closing the gap of electrical energy inadequacies in the country by manufacturing alternative clean and portable power sources called Nkula solar power plants. These power gadgets work as alternatives to fuel gensets, and as power backups however, among other benefits these are fuel-less, smokeless and noiseless.

POST OVERVIEW

Energy Project manager oversees the designing and planning from the manufacturing sites, installation and maintenance of Nkula Solar Gensets and Solar systems to our designated clients. The officer shall be coordinating every stage of the project. He/she is involved in contractual bidding and business development of the company.

Job Description

Solar project officers typically have a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:

  • Negotiating contracts with clients in terms of specifications, prices and terms of payment
  • Monitoring Nkula Solar Genset performance and ensuring that the projects are completed within the agreed upon schedule and budget guidelines
  • Managing all project stages i.e.  selecting contractors, obtaining permits and ensuring compliance with regulations
  • Coordinating with architects, engineers, and other electrical professionals to ensure the production of masterpiece
  • Scheduling work crews, ordering materials, and tracking progress from time to time
  • Maintaining business relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients throughout the project cycle
  • Liaising with clients to determine their preferences, designing custom solutions, and estimating costs
  • Reviewing engineering plans and conducting inspections before, during and after installation of Nkula Solar Genset to ensure compliance with the existing guidelines
  • Communicating regularly with clients on project status and providing updates on any changes to the timeline, plan or budget

QUALIFICATION

  • A minimum of a Diploma in Renewable Energy from an accredited College/University
  • Those with MERA certificate in renewable Energy will have an added advantage
  • At least three (3) years of experience on practical projects.

Organization skills can help you manage a team, create a schedule and keep track of project flow.

 

Technical know-how

Technical knowledge is the ability to understand and apply the principles of science and engineering innovatively. For a solar project manager, technical knowledge is important for understanding the components of a solar energy system and the processes involved in installing and maintaining solar plants. Technical knowledge can also help you to communicate with engineers and technicians, as you may need to understand and explain technical details about Nkula solar Genset.
